Sono un’isola dove si infrangono in perpetuo onde arancioni. Sono il naufrago che vi approda una notte, spinto dalla tempesta. Scivoliamo nel mare verso terre sconosciute che nessuna mappa conosce.

Cammino sul bordo osservando, a volte riesco a sporgermi un po’ e immergere un piede in acqua. Altre si fanno sottili e inarrivabili come il mare dove ci si perde senza affondare.

Mi muovo, ogni notte cambio rotta e ad ogni alba si apre una nuova prospettiva. Cerco luoghi. Dove ci si nasconde al sole, dove ogni porta conduce ad un ricordo non ancora vissuto, dove si invecchia solo quando si smette di raccontare.

I am an island against which orange waves endlessly crash. I am the castaway who washes ashore one night, driven by the storm. We drift across the sea toward unknown lands that appear on no map.

I walk along the edge, watching; sometimes I manage to lean out a little and dip a foot into the water. At other times, the boundaries grow thin and unreachable—like the sea where one gets lost without ever sinking.

I move; every night I change course, and with every dawn, a new perspective opens up. I seek out places: where one hides from the sun, where every door leads to a memory not yet lived, where one grows old only when one stops telling stories.

We are nowhere; we are a journey.
